The Ceres Community Collaborative was formed in 1994 as a planning group for a Healthy Start project. The Collaborative has grown in size and importance over the past 20 years. Currently, over 30 partner organizations, including faith-based organizations, local governmental agencies, independent youth-oriented organizations, Institutions of Higher Education, and grant-funded agencies are involved.

The Ceres Community Collaborative has successfully identified priorities, developed plans, mobilized public and private resources and integrated services that support children and families and enhance community well being.

The Ceres Community Collaborative partners continue to address community issues and form working partnerships to develop solutions to the needs of our students and families.

For information on becoming a partnering agency, contact Julie Lynn Martin-Borba, 209-556-1555.

School to Business Partnerships

Since 2007, CUSD schools have developed formal partnerships with local businesses, resulting in support by the business of school site activities and events. Businesses have contributed staff time, materials, resources, and other in-kind contributions to each school. Each school site promotes the business at school events and activities as a sponsor. If you are a business interested in supporting a school in Ceres, please contact the principal of the school you want to partner with.

Mentors and Volunteers are Needed for CUSD Programs

The After School Education and Enrichment (ASES) program is seeking volunteers to participate in fun after school activities with elementary and junior high school students. For more information, download the Volunteer Flyer, today!

Project YES, is seeking mentors for at-risk youth ages 17 to 21 to provide encouragement and support to these students in education and career areas. Click here to download a Mentor Flyer.
